Bear One Another’s Burdens: Part 2
If you have not read part one I would encourage you to click here to go to it. Anyway last time we talked on Galatians 6:1-5 and this time we will work on verses 6-10 of Galatians.
Here is Galatians 1-10 so you get to look at the whole thing:
6:1 Brothers, [1] if anyone is caught in any transgression, you who are spiritual should restore him in a spirit of gentleness. Keep watch on yourself, lest you too be tempted. 2 Bear one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ. 3 For if anyone thinks he is something, when he is nothing, he deceives himself. 4 But let each one test his own work, and then his reason to boast will be in himself alone and not in his neighbor. 5 For each will have to bear his own load.
6 One who is taught the word must share all good things with the one who teaches. 7 Do not be deceived: God is not mocked, for whatever one sows, that will he also reap. 8 For the one who sows to his own flesh will from the flesh reap corruption, but the one who sows to the Spirit will from the Spirit reap eternal life. 9 And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up. 10 So then, as we have opportunity, let us do good to everyone, and especially to those who are of the household of faith.
lets look at verse 6:
”One who is taught in the word must share all good things with the one who teaches.”
This made me feel like
” well teachers teach me I don’t teach them of the word they already have that stuff figured out” but knowbody has it all figured out (besides Christ) not even teachers, not even us. That is why we have the Holy Spirit and the Bible to help us! That is why it says those who are taught by the word. And all this does go to bearing others burdens in the verses 1-5.
Now lets look at verses 7-8:
7 Do not be deceived: God is not mocked, for whatever one sows, that will he also reap. 8 For the one who sows to his own flesh will from the flesh reap corruption, but the one who sows to the Spirit will from the Spirit reap eternal life.
So it says that whatever we sow in flesh, we also will reap. What does sow mean? It means thought, if you think about doing something as for example, you think about watching something that is not right you really give it thought you should go to Christ and say I know I should not do this and will you help me get away from it and you prayed in faith and without doubt, than God will get you away with it. But if you think about it and don’t go to God, than you are caught in the trap and you reap, which means do, you are i trouble.
But, if we give it to the spirit, through the spirit we will have eternal life!
Lets now look at verses 9-10:
9 And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up. 10 So then, as we have opportunity, let us do good to everyone, and especially to those who are of the household of faith.
So we should not get tired of doing good things because if you do not do good things you may do bad things or regular things, also we are called to do good. For the due thing we will reap which reaping is doing something we thought of doing, if we do not give up. So When we have the time, let us do good to everyone, especially those who are in the household of faith.
So I thought these verses were great to learn and we should not just learn but do as well.
