Please be praying for my Grandfather, whose Back is not feeling well. He really could use prayer, and I know he would deeply appreciate it.

James The Sin Of Partiality

JamesMy brothers, [1] show no partiality as you hold the faith in our Lord Jesus Christ, the Lord of glory. 2 For if a man wearing a gold ring and fine clothing comes into your assembly, and a poor man in shabby clothing also comes in, 3 and if you pay attention to the one who wears the fine clothing and say, “You sit here in a good place,” while you say to the poor man, “You stand over there,” or, “Sit down at my feet,” 4 have you not then made distinctions among yourselves and become judges with evil thoughts? 5 Listen, my beloved brothers, has not God chosen those who are poor in the world to be rich in faith and heirs of the kingdom, which he has promised to those who love him? 6 But you have dishonored the poor man. Are not the rich the ones who oppress you, and the ones who drag you into court? 7 Are they not the ones who blaspheme the honorable name by which you were called?

I have been looking at this and it is very important. It goes for everything else as well. You might not pay as much attention at somebody poor, different race, or whatever else it might be. Giving to those who are rich is not bad, but poor need it more and we should not look at others as if they are better than another. Money is used for worldly things and not spiritual things so why pay so much attention to those who are eager for worldly things and not spiritual things. Not that you cannot want spiritual things more than worldly things if you are rich but it is harder.

For it is said often in the Bible this:It is easier for a camel to go through an eye of a needle than for a rich person to enter the kingdom of God.” Mark 10:25.

Rough Green Snake Information

Habitat: Green snakes like to live in brushes and forests where they climb trees. they are not commonly seen due to their green scales which blend in with their habitat very well. If you look in green bushes or trees their is a chance you might just find one.

Food Habits: Their favorite food is spiders but they eat other small bugs that they might find in their habitat.

Description: Body green with keeled scales and the belly is white.

Aggressiveness: Unharmful to humans and rarely bite.

Eastern Ring Necked Snake Info

Habitat: Ring necked snakes are nocturnal and a very secretive and are not seen very often since they like to live their lives in rotten wood, under rock’s, or under whatever they find. They like moist wooded areas and are usually found in spring or in late summer through mid fall. They will breed in fall and have live young.

Discription: They are very small reaching a little bit longer than a foot. They have a yellow stomach with black dot aligned down the center, they have a black head with grey to light blue body and have a yellow ring on their neck.

Food Habits: Their food habits are slugs, worms, or other small things, they are rear fanged but are harmless to people but it helps them kill their prey quicker.

Aggressiveness: They are harmless to people and and rarelly bite.

Leave No Trace

Leave no trace is a principle that everyone should know and that we often take for granted. Most every trail I go on is just has trash everywhere and even when there are trash cans right there. Rails to trails for instance a trail I go on frequently, you really cannot find one place without seeing a beer bottle, beer can, candy wrapper, or a bag and I could go on. It only gets worse. And we don’t tend to try to pick it up much.

The $1,000 fine that can take place does not work very well. The people that litter just don’t seem to care at all. Littering does not only make a place look bad, it is also bad for the habitat around it. For instance A salamander is very delicate in nature it needs almost pure water in order to live. If litter goes in to the water it tends to stay in the water for many, many years. So if the salamanders water starts to become infested with stuff, the shallows it lives in will have lead, tin and platics that will kill it.

Leave no trace should be followed and we should leave only foot prints behind. If you have room to put it in you can always bring it back.

Order Of The Arrow Weekend

This Saturday I will be going to the Ordeal for the OA. We will see what happens. The OA is something in Boy scouts and that you do service projects and camping trips. You need to be voted in by at least half of your troop and you must be at least first class. And in order for me to be able to be in the OA I need to go through an ordeal.

Seeking To Grow

We should seek on growing for if we sit and do not grow we are more vulnerable to the enemy. Seek to grow spiritually and do not let the flesh take over. The flesh is tempting but it is deadly the more you feed it the bigger it gets and the more it eats away. So lets grow spiritually and let the flesh die away and be prepared for the enemy to try to try to take over.

Also do not grow only in one part but the whole for the enemy knows what you are weak in. You cannot grow on your own though, only Christ can help you grow. We should be prepared for what is to come for it says in Ephesians 6:10-20 this:

10 Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of his might. 11 Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil. 12 For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places. 13 Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand firm. 14 Stand therefore, having fastened on the belt of truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, 15 and, as shoes for your feet, having put on the readiness given by the gospel of peace. 16 In all circumstances take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming darts of the evil one; 17 and take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God, 18 praying at all times in the Spirit, with all prayer and supplication. To that end keep alert with all perseverance, making supplication for all the saints, 19 and also for me, that words may be given to me in opening my mouth boldly to proclaim the mystery of the gospel, 20 for which I am an ambassador in chains, that I may declare it boldly, as I ought to speak.

So seek to grow for if we do not we will loose the battle.

Prayer In Faith

What would you call praying without faith? What would you call asking without believing it could happen? If you pray and ask that something might happen and really doubt that it will happen do you thing Christ will let it happen? But if you really believe it will happen it really could happen. It says in James 1:6-8

6 But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea that is driven and tossed by the wind. 7 For that person must not suppose that he will receive anything from the Lord; 8 he is a double-minded man, unstable in all his ways.

Also think about all the miracles in the Bible that happened. Now they definitely did not just happen, they needed faith.

Last year somebody fell from a tree 30 feet up head first. Our church prayed that he would survive and other churches as well. He finally recovered. So there is miracles still today that really seem quite impossible but with faith anything can happen.

God And Country Program

I’ve been working on God and Country program in Boy Scouts Of America and on the God and Church level which I can learn more about Christ and the Church. It questions me on what my relationship with Christ and Church and who I think God is.

This can be for ages younger and you do not have to be a boyscout.
